Turpin + Crawford

This stunning, interactive seat sculpture by Jennifer Turpin & Michaelie Crawford ‘sits’ within the heritage grounds of Crowle Estate; a new residential development in Meadowbank. The sculptural form cantilevers delicately from its axis, belying its material of concrete. By night, the effect is accentuated with cove LED lighting as the seat appears to float.

Armature was engaged by the artists at early concept stage to refine the form from several iterations and to generate pre-visual day/night renders and technical documentation. Armature was also responsible for lighting specification and installation.
